Gatepost in Prince's Park
Gatepost in Prince's Park
This is one of a pair of decorated gateposts close to the ruined boathouse at the south end of the park lake. Because of the carving at the top of the post I decided to crop this photo from the wider view of the gateway SJ3688 : Gateway in Prince's Park The metal hinge fittings can still be seen at the top and bottom of the post - the gates were probably taken for salvage during WWII.
