Barcombe: The Church of St Mary the Virgin
Barcombe: The Church of St Mary the Virgin
The church is tucked away down a track off Church Road, and is some distance from the main village of Barcombe. This separation happened because the population of the original hamlet around the church suffered from an outbreak of plague and the survivors rebuilt their community in a different location to the north of the church. Also visible to the left of the church is the war memorial.
