Kaimes Hill
Kaimes Hill
Kaimes Hill, taken from the track from the Long Dalmahoy Road to Kaimes House.

The hill is a outlier of the same igneous intrusion that formed Edinburgh Castle. The hill was quarried for its high quality stone. The quarry has now been turned into a landfill.

Photo taken in the harsh Christmas 2010 winter.
