This was taken from Thomas Street. I thought that they were intending to somehow incorporate the tower in a new building, but it has since been taken down. The mill was originally Broad Lea Mill ('Worsted Spinning' on the 1907 OS map), and it has a large site on which 65 low-cost houses will be built for Pennine 2000.

There are some interesting web sites. The first is the news article in the local paper, and the others have many images taken, inside and outside of the building, before demolition started.
