Path on the line of the Loud Waggonway
The waggonway enters a small cutting just after this point as it crosses the edge of the overgrown open land that was the site of the extensive Bog Pit. There was problems with running here in the 1750s and a Newcomen Atmospheric Steam Engine was installed to pump out the water. It was after this, known as Engine Pit.
