taken 14 years ago, near to Dubwath, Cumbria, England

Bassenthwaite Lake from Sale Fell
Bassenthwaite Lake from Sale Fell
The NW end of the lake with the road junction on the A66 and the houses at Dubwath left of centre. The houses just to the right of the junction are marked 'Station Cottages' on the 1:25,000 map, going back to the days when the Cockermouth - Keswick - Penrith railway ran on the route now taken by the A66.
