TQ3783 : Bow Back River (St Thomas's Creek)

taken 9 years ago, near to Bow, Tower Hamlets, Great Britain

Bow Back River (St Thomas's Creek)
Bow Back River (St Thomas's Creek)
Cordoned off to navigation as it passes through the Olympic building site. Hopefully it will be re-opened for the Olympics. The other end of this loop off the Lea Navigation is just below Old Ford Lock, where there is a similar cordon. There was, and will be, a communication through a lock to the complex of Bow tidal waterways, which are to be partly penned by a further lock.
