Silverleaf fungus
Chondrostereum purpureum is a common parasite on fruit trees (although here on a willow stump). It forms leathery pink, lilac or purple patches with a white edge. It causes Silver-leaf disease on plum and cherry trees. This specimen lasted right through the winter and at times was frozen solid.
