I first discovered the dark conifer plantations of Black Park as a schoolboy, on a bike trip from West London. On later visits we found that filming often overflowed from Pinewood Studios next door (TQ0184) - on one occasion we happened on a deserted prisoner-of-war camp. Somebody at Hammer Films must have thought the place would make a good Transylvania, because in one of their productions (please don't ask which) you see a horse-drawn carriage, with unsuspecting passenger, rolling along this track en route for Dracula's castle.

More recently, according to Wikipedia, the park has figured in the Harry Potter films and in 'Sleepy Hollow' (with photography by my near-namesake, Stefan Czapsky).
