TQ1974 : Christ Church, East Sheen: tower

taken 18 years ago, near to Mortlake, Richmond Upon Thames, England

Christ Church, East Sheen: tower
Christ Church, East Sheen: tower
Photographed (quite unknowingly) on the anniversary of the collapse of the original tower on 15 March 1863 - for an account of the incident see the parish website LinkExternal link

Although it looks to have been designed for a ring of bells, to the best of my knowledge there are no bells installed.

The church is a "chapel of ease" of Mortlake parish.
