taken 15 years ago, near to Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland

Dumbarton Burgh Hall
Dumbarton Burgh Hall
The photograph was taken from the Castle Street entrance of the hall's car park.

The burgh hall, the low building shown here right of centre, was demolished in mid-2015 (NS3975 : Former site of Dumbarton Burgh Hall) to make way for new council offices; the end-note refers to that redevelopment of the site.

This area is behind the facade (which has been preserved) of the old burgh hall; for views of it, see NS3975 : Dumbarton Academy on Church Street, Dumbarton and NS3975 : The Old Academy.
Construction on Dumbarton Burgh Hall site

Behind the preserved facade of the old Dumbarton Academy building on Church Street, a low building, a burgh hall, was demolished in mid-2015 to make way for the new offices of West Dunbartonshire Council.
