NS4075 : The Denny Tank Museum
taken 15 years ago, near to Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland
This is 1 of 3 images, with title starting with The Denny Tank in this square

The Denny Tank Museum
I know this building as the Denny Tank Museum, which is its invariable local name (after NS4075 : The Denny Tank), but those from outwith the area will know it as the Dumbarton branch of the Scottish Maritime Museum; it is the latter name that appears on signs outside (and on) the building. My picture shows the building just after a recent revamp; by way of comparison, NS4075 : Maritime Museum, Dumbarton shows the same building before that work was carried out.
The museum is located at the eastern end of NS3975 : Castle Street, Dumbarton.
In both pictures, NS4075 : The steam engine from the PS Leven is visible on the right.
In the present photograph, the more distant brick tower on the left is the NS3975 : Remains of Ballantine's Distillery. The tower of the old burgh hall is visible to the right of the museum.
