This conspicuous white pyramid sits alongside the coastal path on the cliffs east of Porthcurno. The plaque on the north-facing side explains that it was built in 1880 to commemorate the cable to Brest, France which came ashore somewhere nearby. Part of the open-air Minack theatre can be seen on the cliffs on the far right of this photo.
