NS4760 : Brownside Braes

Brownside Braes
Brownside Braes
The photograph was taken from a point about 90 metres to the north of NS4760 : Glenburn Reservoir. Although the land is fairly level here, it slopes down further ahead to meet NS4760 : The edge of the woods at the south of Glen Park; the tops of the trees at the edge of the woods can be seen ahead.

Almost the whole width of the skyline is taken up by the Kilpatrick Hills. Although it is hard to pick out except in larger image sizes, the top of Duncolm (NS4777) can be seen right at the centre of the skyline, projecting above the plateau. Spread out in front of the hills is the large town of Paisley.

For another part of the Braes, not far to the east, see NS4860 : Brownside Braes.
