Diglis Broad Locks in Worcester
Diglis Broad Locks in Worcester
Two broad locks lift boats up from the River Severn to the Worcester and Birmingham Canal at Diglis Basin. It is noticeable that the crews have left a gate open on the bottom lock. They have also left the ground paddle up on the left, which is also careless.

The Worcester and Birmingham Canal was built in stages between 1791 and 1815 to connect the River Severn in Worcester to the Birmingham Canal System using a quicker route than the earlier Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal.
