SD9329 : Noah Dale Bridge, Heptonstall

taken 10 years ago, 3 km from Blackshaw Head, Calderdale, Great Britain

Noah Dale Bridge, Heptonstall
Noah Dale Bridge, Heptonstall
Now serving as a footbridge, but a track is not shown on old maps and it seems to have been built to gives access from Noah Dale Farm to the moorland. The stream is the boundary between Heptonstall and Blackshaw (formerly Stansfield), so perhaps the farmer had bought grazing rights in the neighbouring township. The ruined farm in the distance is Pad Laithe.
