Jacquard Loom
Jacquard Loom
I'm writing this description on the grandson (or daughter) of these machines. The jacquard loom is considered to be the grandfather of the computer. It uses cards with many holes, it's hard to explain but the pattern of the cards is woven in the fabric being produced. On the cards are many holes, their position is subject to the fabric design. Like a computer uses 1s and 0s this uses holes and non holes.
