Western General Hospital

This concrete block is the new Victoria Building at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh's second general hospital. The new building will, I gather, replace the nearby Royal Victoria Hospital, catering for mental and geriatric patients. One rather hopes that the therapeutic effect of the spacious grounds at the RVH are not so great that their absence here will not have a deleterious effect on the care the occupants receive.
