School House, Front Street, Capheaton
School House, Front Street, Capheaton
This school building was built around the turn of the 19th century of dressed stone. The construction materials will have probably been local, if not from the nearby Capheaton Hall estate. The village of Capheaton was a planned village and this building would have probably been erected at the expense of the Swinburne family of landowners. This is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
