The Martello Tower, off Front Street, Pembroke Dock
This is dated 1851, and was built to defend the dockyard wall. It had three 32 lb guns. There is another, smaller, tower to the south-west of the dockyard. As the power of artillery increased they became obsolete, and were disarmed by 1882. (Information from 'The Buildings of Wales - Pembrokeshire'). This tower has been converted to a museum, but is closed in Winter.
