View northward, towards Crianlarich and Fort William, ex-North British Railway. Taken on the same occasion as NN3115 : A Down freight on the West Highland Line at Ardlui, V4 2-6-2 No. 1700 'Bantom Cock' is on the left, working the 15.46 Glasgow (Queen St.) to Fort William and Mallaig: the Up Class F freight is headed by K2 2-6-0 No. 1776. The main line being single track, trains can pass only at intermediate stations such as Ardlui.
