Lowfields (or Lowfields Park)
Lowfields (or Lowfields Park)
Lowfields is a late 18th - early 19th Century country house overlooking the Greta valley and very close to the Lancashire border. A public footpath runs immediately south of the house and ends nearby at this border. At the A687 start of this path there is no footpath sign and no waymarks en route creating an impression (possibly) that the occupants wish not to have the great unwashed (eg Geograph square hunters) spoiling their view? The house is grade II listed LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) Lowfields Farm is on the left in trees.
