Gaddings Dam
The dam was built in the 1830s by the Fielden Brothers to provide water to turn the wheels that powered nearby Lumbutts Mill. The mill has long since gone and Gaddings Dam has never been used to provide drinking water. Its sole purpose now is as a unique leisure and wildlife facility for the enjoyment of locals and the many visiting hill walkers.
Pendle can be seen on the distant skyline.
