Sale Water Park
Sale Water Park
Stepping stones across Barrow Brook, at the south-eastern end of the lake at Sale Water Park. The lake was originally a gravel pit which was flooded after the extraction of gravel used for constructing of an embankment to raise the M63 motorway (now the M60) 34 feet above the Mersey's floodplain during the 1970s. Previously the land belonged to Sale Old Hall.
