SD7087 : The Dent church bells

taken 15 years ago, near to Dent, Cumbria, England

The Dent church bells
The Dent church bells
The full peel of bells at St. Andrew's, Dent awaiting transport to the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London for repair. They were cast by William Mears of London in 1787 and have not been heard in Dent since 1918. I believe that they have been returned to the church in March, 2011 and I hope they are now ringing across the dale once again.
