Recently revealed rock, Far Arnside
Drastic erosion of the salt marsh turf has revealed much more of the underlying limestone. In places the rock is stained a prominent orange-yellow colour - possibly some mineral (iron?) leached from the overlying soil or turf. It will probably fade fairly quickly but provides a splash of colour on a grey evening.
