SD4476 : Dead tree, Far Arnside

taken 15 years ago, near to Silverdale, Lancashire, England

Dead tree, Far Arnside
Dead tree, Far Arnside
This stump is all that remains of what may once have been quite an old tree. It will have been 'bonsai-ed' naturally by its location in a crevice of the limestone, wide open to the ravages of the elements. A faint glimmer of the setting sun catches the incoming tide as it rolls up the channel of the Kent.
