Interior of disused air-raid shelter, Ibsley Common, New Forest
Looking towards the entrance of this WWII shelter, a partly submerged cuboid room with a concrete roof. The doorway is partly blocked with brick rubble from a nearby above-ground building. In many places in the New Forest great care was taken to remove the fabric of wartime intrusions on the heath and in the woods.
