NR4254 : Waterfall, Gleann Lẹra

taken 8 years ago, 4 km from Ardtalla, Argyll And Bute, Great Britain

Waterfall, Gleann Leòra
Waterfall, Gleann Lẹra
Having had quite a dry spell recently, there wasn't much evidence of the waterfall, which falls off the sides of an unnamed mountain on Islay's eastern range of hills.

Gleann Lẹra (possibly a derivation of 'lẹir', meaning 'enough' or 'sufficient' which would translate roughly as Glen of the Sufficiency - doesn't sound right to me though!)
