Kerrison's Level drainage pump, Acle Marshes
The 19th century windpump has a tarred brick tower and boat-shaped weatherboarded cap. The tapering circular tower is four storeys high and has been reinforced by wrought iron bands. There are two opposing entrances on ground floor level, one window at first floor, and one at cap floor level. The cap frame has sheers, a tail beam, a sprattle beam, head stock and weatherbeam, with track and gear intact. There are a cast iron windshaft and brake arm, and a cast iron horizontal drive shaft to the scoop wheel with wooden starts and floats. The cap has a tail pole adapted for fan winding.

This windpump is situated on private farmland which was accessed by kind permission of the farmer.
