This surfaced old road goes nowhere now. It just traverses the side of the valley above the Afon Camddwr and stops about a mile south-east of here (behind the camera), and that was nowhere even before the Llyn Brianne reservoir was constructed. 1930s and 1940s Ordnance Survey 1:63360 maps do not record the road's existence, so presumably it was built at some time to service either the construction or the afforestation which followed it. Local information will be appreciated.

There is a rusty old cattle grid between the two bushes in the middle of the image. Soar-y-Mynydd chapel can be seen in the trees at the centre of the image.
