Old motorway sign, Belfast
Old motorway sign, Belfast
Going by the colour and the font I’ll guess that this “M2 motorway pedestrians prohibited” sign, slightly north of J3478 : Motorway gantry sign, Belfast, might date from the opening of the foreshore section in 1973. At that time the (now) reclaimed land, to the east, was still the shore of Belfast Lough.
