The Coastguard salvage tug Anglian Princess (built 2001/2, bollard pull 180 tonnes) is to be disposed of as part of cost-cutting measures. She is dwarfed by RFA Largs Bay (2006, 16,160 tonnes displacement). This was built by Swan Hunter on the Tyne as a landing ship dock to support the Royal Navy and has a result of the latest Strategic Defence and Security review has been bought by the Australian Government (for 65 million) and will be transferred to the Royal Australian Navy in 2012. I hope they will be very pleased with their near new ship at what is probably a bargain price.
