A rectangular square with plane trees, it is really now a roundabout for Mayfair traffic. Many of the fine houses date from the 1700s.
The Carrara marble sculpture of a nymph with water vase is a mid 19th century commission made by Alexander Munro for the 3rd Marquess of Lansdowne.
