Queen Eleanor's tomb
A Victorian replica of the tomb of Queen Eleanor, queen consort of King Edward I. She died on November 28th 1290 in the nearby village of Harby in Nottinghamshire, her body was eviscerated and embalmed at St.Catherines Priory and her viscera entombed in St.Mary's Cathedral. The original tomb was destroyed during the Commonwealth.
