Red kites at Cadmore End
Red kites (Milvus milvus) are common in the Chilterns following their successful reintroduction a few years ago. But I have never seen as many together as this group. I can count seven in this picture and there must have been 20 altogether, circling around here. I can only presume that someone must have left some food for them. After we finished our walk we returned by road half an hour later but they had all dispersed. Their location in context can be seen here
