TA0728 : West Park entrance, Hull

taken 7 years ago, near to Kingston Upon Hull, Great Britain

West Park entrance, Hull
West Park entrance, Hull
The recently renovated entrance to the park on Anlaby Road, close to the former Carnegie Library (visible here in the background). The 'weathered steel' pillars are sited next to the TA0728 : West Park entrance sculpture, Hull. They were inspired by the original entrance which was built in the 1880s and since demolished, and laser-cut with images of the original entrance, made up of dots backlit with LEDs which react to movement as allegedly does the adjacent sculpture, though I have yet to see this feature in action.
