Hungerford Bridge underside
Hungerford Bridge underside
A view taken beneath Hungerford Bridge. The original bridge which carries railway tracks across the Thames into Charing Cross station is to the left. This bridge used also to have a narrow pedestrian walkway, supported by the brick piers of the railway bridge, but this was demolished in around 2002. It was replaced with new, wider pedestrian bridges which flank the railway bridge on both its upstream and downstream sides - this is the underside of the downstream pedestrian bridge.
