Sir Barnes Wallace Recreation Area
Sir Barnes Wallace Recreation Area
View north-west down the hillside park, which has a football pitch at the bottom and a children's play area on the right. The recreation area off Moseley Street is dedicated to Barnes Wallis, who was born at Cromer House, Butterley Hill. He was most famous for his invention of the bouncing bomb which breached German dams in the Ruhr Valley in 1943.
