Chester Roman Festival 2011
Chester Roman Festival 2011
Chester's Roman Festival included the largest Roman military parade in Britain, a reconstructed Roman village in Grosvenor Park, music and dance, gladiator games in the amphitheatre plus many more events over the weekend of 4th and 5th June 2011. Here the massed ranks of Roman soldiers begin their march from St John the Baptist's Church by the amphitheatre led by two horseman, towards the Town Hall where a speech was made by 'Caesar' and the Mayor of Chester.
