Millwall Dock and Glengall Bridge
Millwall Dock and Glengall Bridge
London's docks were built in Victorian times. Millwall Dock opened in 1868. The docks fell into disuse during the 1960s and 1970s, but after being abandoned for a number of years, the area benefited from regeneration.

The bridge was built to carry Glengall Road across the working dock. In the background, the large apartment block occupies the site of the London Arena. The arena had been built in the late 1980s, as part of the regeneration, but was never a financial success. It closed in 2005 and was demolished.
