The western end of Redmires Dam
Some masonry can be seen as the dam wall turns into an overflow channel. It was built by Thomas Ramsbotham around 1850 to supply a local mill (from Malcolm Bull's Calderdale Companion). The white patch in the distance is cotton grass.
