The footpath follows the hedge as it takes walker from Ford Dike Lane to Back Lane.

Even recent hedgerows, dating back little more than a century have been swiftly colonized by nature, and have now become havens for an enormous variety of woodland plants and animals dispossessed of natural habitats elsewhere.
