The Herb Garden at Sissinghurst Castle Garden
The Herb Garden at Sissinghurst Castle Garden
Vita Sackville-West and her husband Harold Nicolson moved to Sissinghurst Castle in 1932 and transformed the garden. Paying visitors came from 1938. The garden came to the National Trust in 1967, five years after Vita's death. The garden itself is designed as a series of "rooms", each with a different character of colour and/or theme. This is the Herb Garden.
