Mermaid's Pool
Mermaid's Pool
Legend has it that this pool is linked to the sea and inhabited by a mermaid. In reality it's a shallow (but attractive and atypically large) moorland tarn with excellent views of the Kinder plateau and the Kinder valley. This view was taken southwards from the site of a geocache (LinkExternal link ).
