The Spread Eagle Hotel, Thame
The Spread Eagle was made famous in the twenties by its innkeeper, John Fothergill. During his idiosyncratic occupancy many famous people came to stay, such as H.G.Wells. Fothergill wrote of his time here in the book "Diary of an Innkeeper".
