Water bus jetty
Water bus jetty
This is the stop at the northeastern end of Cardiff Bay Barrage, near to the lock at the entrance of Queen Alexandra Dock (behind the camera). The jetty is used by the water bus service, a scheduled boat service connecting with Penarth and Mermaid Quay. There are two operators, and both run on an hourly schedule at the time of writing. The lumps of coal and mine cart are part of a display connecting Cardiff Docks' history as a coal export harbour with current issues of energy generation.
