SK3068 : Inscribed Stone near Hipper Sick

taken 8 years ago, 3 km from Wadshelf, Derbyshire, Great Britain

Inscribed Stone near Hipper Sick
Inscribed Stone near Hipper Sick
This standing stone is situated behind a drystone wall next to the road making it easy to miss. The date (1856) is clearly marked and the inscriptions suggest that this is more likely to be a boundary marker than a guide post. There's at least one other stone in the near vicinity bearing the same date.
