The Gwili Railway at Bronwydd Arms
The Gwili Railway at Bronwydd Arms
There could hardly be a more attractive setting for a preserved steam railway than the valley of Afon Gwili. The station at Bronwydd Arms has been restored to the colours of the Great Western Railway, its owners at the time of nationalisation in 1948. The water tower between the tracks is also of GWR pattern, and may well have stood here since the 1920's.

Update: according to the 'Disused Stations' website, the GWR water tower was salvaged from Barry Docks in 1979: LinkExternal link
