Geograph - photograph every grid square

Two adjacent shops on Stockport Road, Gee Cross. The left hand shop was recently a pharmacy. The right hand shop was once a butchers but more recently was a sandwich shop. It has been closed for several years. The old bay window has gone and been boarded up but a trellis has been attached to the boards. The bay-window base has been transformed into a flower bed and plants are beginning to climb the trellis.

I've been informed that "During the 1960s the right hand shop used to be Bennett's bakers, and the left hand shop used to be Jolly & Hollingworths ironmongers."
